Gainesville has some of the most beautiful scenery in all of North Central Florida. Whether you are looking for a bike trail like the one in Hawthorne or just looking to ride around town.

We definitely suggest you take a ride around campus. Starting at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, you can make your way past Weil Hall, past Turlington, through The Set, past the Music building, past Broward Hall and make your way all the way 13th St. On 13th St you can go all the way South and start heading to Paynes Prairie, which begins this trail or you can head the opposite direction and go North to University.

On University if you travel East you'll head to beautiful downtown Gainesville. Downtown has a lot of art festivals and music festivals for those of you looking for some entertainment on your bike trail. Downtown we suggest you definitely grab a snack from Big Burger, home to the largest burger in all of Gainesville and make your way to Dragonfly, if you're up for sushi. People have traveled the entire US and not found a sushi place better than Dragonfly, so it's definitely worth your time.

So if you're looking for a great bike trail, definitely check out Hawthorne, but also considering riding around the city of Gainesville, on the University of Florida campus and checking out downtown Gainesville.
